University of California - Los Angeles Health is Hiring an Administrative Clinical Care Partner/Unit Secretary - 4NW Oncology/Telemetry - S Near Santa Monica, CA

DescriptionIn this position a an Administrative Clinical Care Partner/Unit Secretary, you will work under direct supervision of the 4NW Oncology/Telemetry nurse managers to: * Provide clerical support to the Administrative Nurse of the designated unit. * Help with phone calls and call lights * Help with admission/discharge process * Assist patient with admission procedure, during transfer procedure, with discharge procedure; provide for patients' personal hygiene; assist with patients' excretory needs, meals and in providing for patient safety and comfort measures. Salary Range: $24.56 - $32.38/hour
QualificationsWe're seeking a highly-skilled, self-motivated nursing professional with: * Current valid CA CNA License, required* BLS from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association required* Understanding of basic medical terminology and abbreviations, preferred. * Recent ward clerk and/or appropriate clerical experience in an acute hospital environment, preferred. * Skill in evaluating and reporting various kinds of emergent information pertinent to the functioning of an inpatient care unit. * Skill in prioritizing assignments to complete work in a timely manner when there are competing requirements and a heavy workload.
