In this position you will be responsible for supporting the Accounting Department by performing accurate and timely distribution of vendor payments and filing of documents. The accounting clerk will: * Handle cash receipts, including performing accounting of patient donations, processing of credit card payments, depositing checks, reconciliation, resolving discrepancies, logging, coding and entering information into the accounting software, and generating reports.* Help with general ledger and perform accurate filing of journal entries, maintaining log for completion, assist in audits preparation, and maintain bus tokens and gift card logs. * Work with Grant Accounting, Billing, Development Staff and others, as necessary, to ensure accurate coding.* Assist in departmental record management, participate in meetings and projects, and perform other duties as assigned by management. QualificationsRequired:* Associates Degree in Accounting * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite* Ability to perform quality work demonstrating accuracy, thoroughness, and attention to detail* Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Ability to prioritize and, organize workload, multi-task, and shift priorities to optimize efficiency and complete assignments on schedule* Must be highly self-motivated and dependable* Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact professionally and diplomatically with persons of diverse social, cultural, and economic backgrounds* Ability to adapt and work in a team environmentPreferred:* Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field* Work experience in accounting
