The UCI Department of Biomedical Engineering in the Samueli School of Engineering is seeking applicants for a part-time Jr. Specialist position (10 hours per week) for a one-year appointment in micro- and milli- engineering for biomedical applications. Applicants should have experience in designing, testing and fabricating micro- and/or milli-devices for ophthalmological and other biomedical applications. Proficiency in CAD software and 3D printing to develop detailed designs for micro- and milli-devices, specifically for the development of ophthalmological and other biomedical applications, is highly desired.
Requirements: Applicants must have a bachelor's degree in biomedical engineering, biological sciences or a related field. Good communication and writing skills are required.
