Departmental Overview
Facilities Services works to maintain a campus built environment that is conducive to teaching, learning and research. We strive to continuously improve the campus in partnership with all members of the campus community. Facilities Services is comprised of the following units: Campus Recycling and Refuse Services, Custodial Services, Environmental Services, Grounds Operations, Shops, Quality Assurance & Customer Service, Sustainability and Engineering Services and People's Park.

Responsibilities
Coordinates, monitors and tracks inventory for multiple FS Shops and Storage locations throughout the Berkeley Campus.
Acts as liaison between Facilities Services and Shops/Trades as it relates to inventory.
Works with management to coordinate and manage the FS Central Storehouse and Shops Inventory Plan.
Prepare monthly inventory usage reports
Acts as department equipment custodian through the Berkeley Equipment Tracking (BET) system and conducts department inventory controls, including processing and maintaining records of equipment insurance requests.
Purchases supplies, shop stock, contacts vendors regarding pricing and back orders, also supervises shops inventory renovation projects.
Acts as department representative for department/campus special inventory projects related to Facilities Services.
Assists management in development of annual inventory budget of the FS shops, custodial inventory locations and shops vehicles.
Monitor and Control Stock inventory
Prepare monthly inventory usage reports
Conducts regular periodic rounds to inspect areas for security, fire and accident hazards and takes appropriate action as required, including reporting infractions of fire and building codes, building rules and other building irregularities to management.
Conducts multiple inventory cycle counts throughout the fiscal year.
Communicate to Management out dated inventory, excess inventory and items for excess and salvage.
Required Qualifications
Working knowledge of or ability to quickly learn practices and procedures relating to facilities Storehouse.
Working knowledge of practices and procedures of safety and emergency preparedness.
Skills to work under pressure of deadlines in a stressful environment.
Working organizational skills to work on multiple projects with competing deadlines, to establish goals and work load priorities, and to meet project deadlines within budget and time constraints.
Written communication skills to prepare a variety of correspondence, reports, policies and procedures, and training documents.
Active listening, interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills to effectively resolve questions, concerns, issues or problems and ensure cooperative and productive working relationships.
Skills to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to lift and relocate inventory weighing up to 50lbs.
Ability to use online systems such as Maximo to monitor inventory, asset tracking, purchasing, auditing.
Working knowledge of Windows based applications such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and inventory management programs.
Education/Training:
Bachelor degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training.
Fork Lift Certified (or ability to be certified within 6 months)
Preferred Qualifications
Working knowledge of Maximo and ability to learn and understand Bear Buy preferred.
Salary & Benefits
This position is a non-exempt, bi-weekly paid position. Hourly pay for this role is commensurate with experience within the range of $24.76 - $28.74.
