Responsibilities
Involves developing, implementing, and / or administering diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives and programs. Provides proactive leadership, consultation, advice, and support to change systems, structures, policies and processes. Leads engagement to advance, integrate and embed diversity, equity and inclusion into all aspects of university life. Conducts analyses of current structures, policies, systems and data. Facilitates dialogue and conversations about sensitive topics. Leads and advances strategies for institutional as well as individual employee responsibility and accountability, in preventing and combating discrimination.
Performs advanced diversity, equity, and inclusion analyses to understand past performance and determine present and future performance for faculty-student interactions.
Consult with faculty to assess sensitive situations with students to determine course of action Review/analyze curriculum to provide feedback and/or recommendations . Provide coaching, strategies, and materials that support equity minded approaches to faculty student interactions. Consults with faculty on complex DEI issues.
Initiates and designs analyses to monitor and assess the effectiveness of coaching and training efforts.
Develops outcomes reports rooted in DEI metrics. Coordinates and aligns measurements with Haas DEI strategic plan. Prepares and presents data reports to key stakeholder groups as required. Recommends improvements in DEI consulting processes/practices to increase institutional effectiveness and attainment of diversity goals.
Interacts with internal managers and external partners to coordinate DEI meetings
Coordinates meetings with DEIB team, faculty, and/or campus partners Participates in department and campus-level meetings as needed.

Embraces the principle of being a "student always" by engaging in opportunities for training,workshops,seminars, continuing education pertinent to the position, or at the suggestion of the supervisor. Actively contributes to a team environment that fosters and promotes a culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) within the unit and at Haas. Engages in ongoing education to promote diversity, equity, inclusion & belonging by completing University sponsored certifications & training sessions (Ie: MEP Workshop, Implicit Bias Certification, LinkedIn Learning workshops, and other workshops & seminars offered by the University or Haas, as they are made available) or by engaging in external seminars & resources related to DEIB. Exemplifies Haas' four Defining Leadership Principles: (1) Question the status quo; (2) Confidence without attitude; (3) Students always; and (4) Beyond yourself.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
Demonstrates advanced knowledge of diversity, equity and inclusion and accessibility frameworks and pedagogy, and applies it to the completion of diversity, equity and inclusion programming.
Demonstrated advanced judgment and technical experience in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions and developing recommendations with regard to classroom dynamics, curriculum, and cocurricular activities.
Demonstrated advanced level of political and organizational acumen.
Advanced communication and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and faculty.
Demonstrated expertise to influence, both verbally and in writing.
Demonstrated experience coaching, facilitating, and/or consulting.
Experience with teaching higher education courses, at the undergraduate or master's level.
Excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrating a desire to promote diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging to establish and maintain positive & professional working relationships with colleagues, students and team members.

Preferred Qualifications
In-depth knowledge of organizational policies and procedures; knowledge of functional area and understands how work may impact other areas.
Advanced level skills required to gather, organize and perform analyses on diversity, equity and inclusion / accessibility programs and initiatives.
Skills to present findings and make recommendations that are significant to a department or unit, both verbally and in writing.
Master's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training.
Doctoral degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training.
Salary & Benefits
This is an exempt, monthly paid position. Annual salary is commensurate with experience up to $120,000.00.
