The University of Baltimore invites energetic candidates to apply for the position of Associate Director of Digital Initiatives and Resources. We are seeking an innovative and collaborative librarian to lead dynamic initiatives that leverage both physical and digital resources in support of student success and community engagement.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee management, discovery, and access of RLB’s print and electronic content including databases, e-books, special collections, libguides, open educational resources, open scholarship, and all physical collections.
  • Work with campus partners to develop a collection plan that is flexible while meeting the needs of the university. This includes leading efforts to integrate open educational resources, open access materials, and content created by members of The University of Baltimore community into the library’s collection development plan.
  • Supervise 3 full-time employees that manage library materials and equipment.
  • Collaborate with the library’s budget office to manage the library’s budget for materials and equipment.
  • Contribute to campus discussions on information literacy, faculty research and scholarship, and innovative online scholarship within the modern library environment.

Required:

A master’s degree from an ALA accredited institution in Library and Information Science.

Five years of library experience within an academic institution that supports a diverse campus community both online and in person, with some supervisory experience.
