https://uapd.uark.edu/Summary of Job Duties:The Public Safety Officer is responsible for the enforcement of traffic and criminal laws and parking regulations. This position is governed by law enforcement standards, state and federal laws, and agency policy.Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • The formal education equivalent of a high school diploma

  • Must possess a valid state motor vehicle operators license

  • Must be certified by the Arkansas Law Enforcement Certification Training in accordance with ACA 12-9-106, or be able to become certified within one (1) year of hire date

Per the Commission on Law Enforcement Standards and Training (CLEST) - Rule 1002: Every officer employed by a law enforcement agency must be a citizen of the United State of America or a Marshallese citizen and must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age at the time of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university
