Summary of Job Duties:The part time Administrative Specialist I works under the supervision of the Director of Admissions and is responsible for providing clerical support to supervisory and professional staff.
Job Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
1. Working cooperatively with campus faculty, staff, and students to fulfill the Mission of the College.
2. Contributing to student success through delivery of quality customer service in all aspects of admissions and recruitment services.
3. Serving as primary point person for campus postal services and preparing outgoing mail daily; management of bulk postal operations and staying up to date on changes within the postal services.
4. Scanning and indexing admissions documents.
5. Entering data in a timely manner, sending correspondence to prospective students.
6. Answering UACCM's switchboard promptly in a courteous and friendly manner, and transferring to appropriate department/person.
7. Greeting students and visitors promptly n a courteous and friendly manner; providing information, assistance, and clarification to prospective and current students concerning the completion of forms, processes, events on campus, etc.
8. Staying up-to-date on information in reference to dates, events, degrees, and personnel changes by staying familiar with personnel and UACCM's Website.
9. Updating the Admission's Office digital signage daily as needed.
10. Assisting the front office when necessary.
11. Meeting the Basic Core Competencies of Teaming and Relationship Management for the Admissions Office.
12. Performing other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILTIES
Able to lift and carry up to 30lbs
Knowledge of record keeping procedures
Knowledge of basic arithmetic
Knowledge of basic grammar
Knowledge of computers and software applications
Ability to conduct research and compile data into report form
Ability to establish and maintain filing systems
Ability to operate standard office equipment
Ability to analyze documents to determine compliance with rules, regulations, and procedures
Ability to communicate both orally and in writingQualifications:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

The formal education equivalent of a high school diploma.

Other job related education and/or experience may be substituted for all or part of these basic requirements upon recommendation and approval by the Chancellor.

PERFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

One year of specialized training in business management, business education, or related field and/or one year of clerical experience.
