Summary of Job Duties:
The Digital Content Manager is responsible for the strategy and implementation of digital content across KUAF. The Digital Content Manager is responsible for creating a cohesive and welcoming digital presence for the station, that reflects the station’s mission to provide programming that informs, entertains, educates, and challenges.

Responsible for KUAF’s digital presence, including:

  • Post OAL stories and other content to KUAF.com daily, making sure information is accurate and relevant, writing is in correct AP Style, images are free to use, and posts are tagged and categorized correctly for proper placement on homepage and for NPR’s API
  • Ensure all KUAF’s digital content follows station style and content guidelines; create and maintain an online database of style guides, images, logos, pictures, etc.
  • Support coworkers on multi-department programs such as fundraising campaigns, stewardship efforts, posting and promoting podcasts, word games, online giveaways, and other digital engagement efforts
Responsible for analysis and strategy of digital presence, including:

  • Analyze data on audio downloads, streaming numbers, website traffic, and more to create an informed strategy on placement of content online and digital communication
  • Assist coworkers with multi-departmental station efforts
Produce content for on-air broadcast and online presence, including:

  • Record, edit, and produce audio stories for broadcast and/or digital outlets
  • Pitch on-air during live on-air fundraisers, other duties as assigned
Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, or a related field conferred by the time of appointment
  • Experience in digital content creation or social media for nonprofit news organization
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Commitment to KUAF’s mission, high-quality journalism, and the public media industry
  • Experience in publishing for radio, the web, and on social media
  • Experience in Grove CMS, familiarity with public radio digital programming and presence
Additional Information:
This position is renewable annually based on continued need for the position, availability of funding, and satisfactory job performance.
