Summary of Job Duties:The Lab Operations Coordinator is a computer and teaching support position that provides comprehensive technical support to faculty, staff, and students within the classrooms and student laboratories supported by Academic Services. The Technologies Support Analyst assumes sole responsibility for the teaching computers located in the EDII and Rahn buildings. This position coordinates the activities of IT and lab personnel in computer applications involving hardware, software, and networking tools. This position will educate faculty, staff, and students in computer applications in the teaching laboratories. Must be able to troubleshoot hardware, software, and network problems and collaborate with IT repair staff and outside entities. This position oversees the activities in 15,000 square feet of educational space in two buildings containing teaching computers. This position certifies computers for national board exams.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Science, or related field plus three (3) years of computer applications or laboratory teaching experience or
High School diploma/GED plus seven (7) years of computer applications or laboratory teaching experience required.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Computer program experience: Microsoft Office, Access Database, ABTutor, Blackboard, Deep Freeze
Demonstrate experience working in a service-oriented environment; a friendly, welcoming demeanor is required.
Ability to work as part of a team and follow directions; ability to remain stationary for extended periods and perform walk-throughs is necessary.
Advanced computer program proficiency.

Responsibilities:
Coordinate and manage the complex and ever-increasing array of computer-related teaching and testing tools.
Maintain the inventory of teaching lab computers attending to problems and issues with hardware, software, and networks for teaching and testing.
Educate students, staff, and faculty in the use of the same.
Coordinate the activities of OAS, IT, and UAMS users of the teaching computers.
Oversee the annual purchase of replacement machines.
Oversee all software applications on the teaching computers.
Certify computers for national board exams.
Manage the databases for supplies, equipment, computers, and usage.
Check lab support staff accuracy in data entry.
Assist lab support staff in teaching duties including inventory, receiving, storing, logging in products, lab prep, and student labs. Interact amicably with colleagues, faculty, and students.
Performs other duties as assigned.
