Assistant Professor of Family & Preventive Medicine

The Department of Family Medicine is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Family Practitioner for our Northwest Arkansas Family Medicine Clinic at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS). Position is 90% clinical and 10% clinical admin. The compensation package includes competitive salary and generous benefits.

Job Description

The Department of Family & Preventive Medicine in the College of Medicine at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences invites applications for a Board-certified family physician and faculty member, who will actively participate in resident mentorship, research, and scholarly activity related to Family Medicine. The Northwest Arkansas Family Medicine clinic has two locations in Fayetteville and Springdale, Arkansas, population ~500,000. 

Applicants must possess or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Arkansas. Applicants must demonstrate experience and competence in teaching and patient care. The successful candidate will become an employee of The University of Arkansas with an annual salary based on experience and a full benefits package. Job Responsibilities: Applicants cover residents in a variety of settings including inpatient, outpatient, and express clinics. Duties also include teaching residents and medical students in the provision of patient care, participating in patient safety and quality project teams and serving as leader and role model for residents. The successful candidate will provide outstanding care to patients and work collaboratively with other faculty members to help advance a high-quality Family Medicine Residency Program.
