University of Alabama at Birmingham is Hiring a SCIENTIST I Near Birmingham, AL

The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), Department of Otolaryngology is seeking a Scientist I. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in establishing a new lab and continuing ongoing research in sinonasal inflammation and immunology .
General Responsibilities
  • To employ a broad knowledge of principles, practices and procedures in a particular field of specialization.
  • To plan, coordinate and conduct research.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
  • Manages day-to-day lab and research activities, with 60% of their work focusing on non-bench-related activities such as grant preparation and experimental design. The remaining 35% will be dedicated to bench research, with 5% allocated to other assigned duties.
  • Focus on non-bench-related activities such as grant preparation and experimental design.
  • Bench work.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Annual Salary Range $63,125.00 - $103,700.00
  • Doctor of Philosophy, D.V.M. or M.D. degree in a related field and two (2) years of related experience
  • OR M.D. and Master's degree.
  • OR Master's degree and four (4) years of related experience
  • OR Bachelor's degree and six (6) years of related experience
Work Experience May NOT Substitute For Education Requirement. Preferences
  • Grant preparation and experimental design experience are a plus .
  • 5 years’ experience.
