Job Description
The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) Heersink School of Medicine seeks an orthopaedic surgeon specializing in joint reconstruction holding MD (or equivalent) for faculty position with open rank and tenure status. Rank, salary, and tenure status commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Candidate must have completed a fellowship in orthopaedic surgery, have in-depth clinical knowledge, excellent communication skills, be highly motivated, and compassionate to all patients. Dedication to teaching and training of resident physicians is expected. Candidate must be board certified or board eligible in orthopaedic surgery, and eligible to be licensed in Alabama.
