The University of Notre Dame (ND.jobs) is accepting applications for a Wedding Event Specialist - Event Management (Full Time).

The University of Notre Dame Enterprises and Events (UEE) division is currently hiring for the position of Wedding and Event Specialist. The UEE division leads the University's event management, hospitality, and customer service functions while supporting student life, academic endeavors, and research initiatives. As part of the event management role, the division is responsible for the planning and execution of a wide range of University events from Commencement to concerts and special events on football game weekends. The division is a major contributor of revenue to the University's mission and employs the largest number of staff on campus with over 1,200 full-time, part-time, temporary, and on-call staff.
Why this position?
Under supervision of the Manager for Weddings and Social Events, the Wedding Event Specialist is a member of the University Events team that manages a portfolio of both internal and external events. This position is responsible for the planning, logistics, partnerships and contracts necessary for ensuring high quality events and programs across campus - especially weddings at Notre Dame. The Wedding Event Specialist serves as the main event liaison for the University of Notre Dame providing a one-stop shop for clients (and in this case, engaged couples) overseeing details such as event space and set-up arrangements, dining and catering requests, audio-visual needs, tenting and decor rentals. The Wedding Event Specialist will monitor individual wedding budgets, track event revenue, and review vendor invoices. The Wedding Event Specialist will ensure weddings, social events, and other internal and external events across campus are flawlessly developed and executed; delivering the highest level of customer service for both internal and external clients and provide customized solutions throughout.

    Minimum Qualifications:
    Bachelors Degree (4 years)
    1-2 years of related experience in Event Management, Building Operations , and internal/external relationship building (serving multiple constituents, team building)
    Must be organized and have an appreciation of the Notre Dame mission
