The University of Notre Dame (ND.jobs) is accepting applications for a Event Captain, TLC (Full Time).

The University of Notre Dame Enterprises and Events (UEE) division is currently hiring for the position of Event Captain within the department of Three Leaf Catering. The UEE division leads the University's event management, hospitality, and customer service functions while supporting student life, academic endeavors, and research initiatives.
Why this position?Under the supervision of the Catering Operations Specialist, this position is responsible for overseeing the set up, execution, and tear down of events. This position will touch base with the client, prior to the event start time to ensure all customer expectations are met. During event set up, the Event Captain will ensure all vendors arrive at their expected time and that set up has been completed, according to the timeline. During the event the Event Captain will troubleshoot A/V and provide assistance with any repairs, if needed. The ability to problem solve, and rectify a situation quickly are essential to this position. The Event Captain will deliver the highest level of customer service for event clients, campus partners and university vendors to maintain a positive and professional working relationship.

This position is with University Enterprises and Events at the University of Notre Dame and is eligible for a $1,000 sign-on bonus (1/2 paid after 60 and 180 days of continuous employment). Candidates are only eligible if they are a new employee to the University - current Notre Dame employees who transfer are not eligible. Other rules and conditions apply.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in service industry, providing event support
  • Attention to detail, commitment to customer satisfaction, strong communication skills and appreciation of ND mission
