The University of Notre Dame (ND.jobs) is accepting applications for a Corporate and Foundation Relations Research Analyst.

The Corporate and Foundation Relations Research Analyst is a member of the Prospect and Research Strategy team supporting the fundraising efforts of the Office of Corporate and Foundation Relations (CFR). The Research Analyst will assess philanthropic capacity and funding priorities to guide strategies for proposal development through research, analysis, and effective communication of data.

What you bring to the role:
  • Excellent research (both quantitative and qualitative), analytical, and data communication skills
  • Strong project management skills
  • High level of attention to detail and excellent follow up
  • Ability to manage both short and long-term initiatives within a dynamic environment
  • Strong communication skills to form partnerships with a variety of constituencies.
Key goals and activities:
  • Research and analyze the existing portfolio of foundation and corporate relationships to maximize philanthropy
  • Develop research reports and presentation materials to guide strategy and proposal development
  • Identify, research, and qualify new foundation and corporate prospects with the potential to transform Notre Dame's research and programs with a grant or gift
  • Respond to requests from colleagues with research reports to qualify top prospects and inform engagement and proposal strategies
  • Benchmark against peers to uncover new opportunities and industry trends in foundations and corporate philanthropy
  • Develop expertise and insight into the university's research and programmatic areas of excellence
This is a hybrid role, requiring several days in-office each week (the other days may be worked remotely). As you work to directly support the mission of Notre Dame, we are working to support you. Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree
  • 3 - 4 years related experience (professional or graduate school)
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and/or Google sheets
  • Demonstrated experience in research and analysis of various industry sectors
  • Advanced analytical skills to synthesize a high volume of information from a variety of sources and perform complex analysis to interpret financial data, identify philanthropic patterns, and relationships among individuals, corporations, and foundations
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills required
Preferred Qualifications:
One or more of these qualifications may enhance the potential to be considered a top candidate:
  • Strong quantitative skills and/or modeling preferred
  • Experience in consulting, financial or marketing analysis preferred
  • Experience using enterprise information systems (such as BSR/Sungard ADVANCE, Salesforce, etc.) preferred
  • Masters degree; beneficial fields of study include finance, management, accounting or economics
