General Position Summary: Responsible for recording all of the company’s transactions related to assets, liabilities, revenue and expenses. Duties include preparing journal entries, reconciliation of financial statements and accounts to ensure data accuracy.
Essential Job Functions:
1. Entering financial data and transactions into the ledger
2. Reviewing financial documents for accuracy and reconciling balance sheet accounts monthly
3. Analyzing financial data and processes, and providing recommendations for improvements
4. Ensuring financial records comply with regulatory standards.
5. Generating financial reports
6. Maintaining schedules of subsidiary ledgers and assisting with preparation of the work-in-progress schedule
7. Collaborating with other departments to complete accurate records and provide accounting support.
8. Preparing and filing monthly and quarterly state and municipal taxes
9. Assisting with audit preparation
10. Supporting the Controller and other financial professionals in their duties as needed.
11. Regular attendance and promptness are considered part of each employee's essential job functions.
Secondary Job Functions:
1. Performs primary back-up role for financial projections and AP processing.
2. Prepares cash position/bank reconciliation.
3. Post cash receipts and employee purchases.

Education Requirements Needed to Perform the Essential Duties of the Job:
1. B.A. in Accounting, Finance and/or equivalent experience.
2. Experience with construction industry preferred.
Licensing or Other Special Certifications Required:
1. Maintain a valid Driver’s License and satisfactory driving record.
2. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license preferred, but not required.
