TutorEd Literature/Math-Baltimore, MD-Lockerman Bundy ES

UI-PCG Education is currently seeking enthusiastic and experienced Daytime Intervention Tutors to support Elementary Math and Literacy in Baltimore, MD.

Responsibilities

The Elementary Math and Literature Tutor will work for our client in Baltimore, MD. The Tutor will work collaboratively with the classroom teacher to support students.

The work hours are approximately 20-25hrs, working with small group, push in/out situations. Tutors support students in work completion and content mastery through a designed curriculum. Tutors do not create lesson plans.

Essential Academic Tutor Responsibilities:

• Provide one-to-one OR group support to students in their math & literature courses.
• Be able to provide support for elementary grades
• Assist teacher in oversight of day to day activities in classroom.
• Communicate with teacher about student progress to assist student in staying current on all coursework and relaying any concerns to classroom teacher.
• Be able to give instruction on new materials
• Assist in supporting students with state exam preparation.
• Support the classroom teacher in providing a safe, supportive environment.

Qualifications

Qualifications/Requirements

• Minimum of a Bachelors Degree
• Experience with teaching or tutoring students in a K-12 environment
• Ability to work in a collaborative environment.
• Must pass a background screen and/or fingerprinting
