University Houston Clear Lake is Hiring a Group Fitness Instructor Near Houston, TX
The Group Fitness instructors lead scheduled group fitness classes in a safe and effective manner. Classes will be assigned based on certifications and qualifications. Instructors are expected to teach assigned weekly classes and attend monthly meetings/trainings as scheduled by the department. Instructors are additionally responsible for organizing fitness studio equipment before and after each class, managing sound and exercise equipment with care, recording class counts, and reporting any participant or equipment issues. Instructors must be First Aid, CPR & AED certified and able to respond to emergency situations when/if they occur.
Required:
Group Exercise Certification from an accredited organization. (ACE, AFAA, Zumba, NETA, NASM, ACSM, etc.)
CPR/AED and First Aid Certification (American Red Cross preferred)
Excellent communication skills.
Part-time position. Typically 6 - 10 hours per week.
