Provides safe efficient age specific nursing care to patients/families using the nursing process in order to assist them to attain, maintain, regain, and sustain optimal health status. What you will do

10 Smythe is a Medical/Surgical/Telemetry 38 bed unit that provides care and services to patients who are admitted for a variety of reasons. The primary focus is Respiratory, Renal, Urology, and Neurology. 10 Smythe is the stroke unit, as well as the patients on peritoneal dialysis.

New Grad RNs who accept a position with 10 Smythe are eligible for a $3,000 sign-on bonus and the Loan Repayment program offering up to $15,000. Please ask your recruiter for details! 

Education Qualifications

• Other Accredited Program Diploma in Nursing or
• (ADN) Associate's Degree in Nursing Required
• (BSN) Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Preferred
• (MSN) Master's Degree in Nursing Preferred

Skills and Abilities

• Knowledge of nursing process and practice. (Required proficiency)
• Uses a wide variety of technical equipment to meet patient needs and prescribed clinical therapies (ie. stethoscopes, thermometers, sphygmomanometers and electronic monitoring devices. (Required proficiency)

Licenses and Certifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Ohio Upon Hire Required and
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Upon Hire Required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) May be required based on clinical area standards.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) May be required based on clinical area standards.
