3 North Medical "Medical Surgical"

*A 30 bed medical unit (NICHE) offering telemetry beds

*RN Patient Care Facilitator to coordinate care

*Generalized medical floor including primary stroke patients, stable cardiac patients and chemo patients

*Average daily census 30

Position Summary

To maintain the nursing staff in all areas as well as to deliver safe efficient age specific nursing care to patient/families.

Essential Functions

• Routinely provide patient care.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team.
• Maintains employee records.
• Identifies needs for and provides Staff education/staff development.
• Participates in Discharge planning, community resource referrals, and education.
• Committee involvement, participate in quality improvement initiatives.
• Oversees daily operations of unit/area in a cost-effective manner.
• Involved in Community outreach activities as pertinent Initiates and maintains positive relationships with patients/customers and co-workers.
• Takes responsibility for self-development and supports a learning environment.
• Displays commitment to the mission and values of the organization.
