University Hospital Urgent Care is Hiring a Medical Assistant, Paramedic, EMT-Advanced, LPN Near Willoughby, OH

We are looking for personable and caring full time Medical Assistants, LPN, Paramedics or EMT-Advanced for our clinic located at 36001 Euclid Ave, Units 5, Willoughby, OH 44094.

*This position requires completion of a Medical Assistant, LPN, or EMT-A/Paramedic education from an accredited institution*

Staff scheduling is tentative 8am - 8 pm, 3 shifts/week for full time on a floating schedule. Rotating weekends and holidays are required. Schedules published on a monthly basis.

The Clinical Service Representative (CSR) is a key member who works in conjunction with physicians, midlevel practitioners, office and clinical staff to provide patient care management, administrative functions, and routine clinical procedures in University Hospitals Urgent Care's fast paced, high-energy clinical office environment.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILTIES:

  • Prepare patient(s) for and assist with examination and/or treatment
  • Perform triage and obtain vital signs
  • Obtain and timely and accurately document patient history in Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
  • Collect and maintain all patient and business documents while always maintaining confidentiality
  • Collect routine laboratory specimens including phlebotomy, urinalysis and/or oral swabs
  • Administer medications and non-intravenous injections (intramuscular, subcutaneous and/or intradermal)
  • Start an IV, place a catheter and perform splinting when needed/directed
  • Perform various other clinical, aseptic and/or basic laboratory procedures
  • Document within Electronic Medical Record (EMR) all medical interventions timely and accurately
  • Understand and enforce standard health care regulatory requirements
  • Responsible for quality assurance program for compliance with CLIA waived laboratory and patient result trackers
  • Always ensure HIPAA and OSHA compliance
  • Perform office procedures including all general administrative duties; ability to operate all office medical equipment
  • Required to travel to various locations as needed based on staffing and volume
  • Other duties as assigned

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Successful completion of a MA, EMT, or Paramedic program from an accredited institution
  • One year of relevant healthcare experience; preferably urgent care or emergency department
  • Willing to train new, stellar graduates
  • Must be proficient in venipuncture and injections
  • Knowledge of clinical procedures, medical anatomy, and physiology

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
