UH Lakewood Medical Center is located between Kansas City and Lee's Summit, Missouri, offering residents of Eastern Jackson County access to a modern community hospital with a continuum of outpatient services designed to meet the needs of families. UH Behavioral Health is the KC metro area's largest, most comprehensive provider of mental health services. The Crossroads Building, located in Kansas City's vibrant Crossroads Arts District, is its epicenter, providing a broad list of outpatient services. We also offer psychiatric inpatient care, and we deliver therapeutic services through our community outreach clinics. We are a leader in the Trauma-Informed Care Movement, and provide training, coaching and consulting to outside organizations.
The Advance Practice Registered Nurse- Clinical Specialty provides an advanced level of care in collaboration with specialty physicians and other members of the health care team to a specific patient population. Maintains an advanced knowledge base and skill in the assessment and treatment of disease and management of health/illness where Clinical Specialty is a preferred treatment resource for patients.May perform specific diagnostic and/or interventional procedures under the supervision of the physician.
Minimum Requirements
Master of Science in Nursing required
Licensed as a professional registered nurse in Missouri
Graduation and certification for Women's Health Nurse Practitioner program and/or certification in specialty as approved by the Missouri State Board of Nursing for Advanced Practice may be required.
2 years' experience as Women's Health Nurse Practitioner in OBGYN clinic, or other relevant Women's Health Clinical Specialty environment
Certification affiliated with Women's Health service line
Current BCLS certification and must be maintained for continued employment
Demonstrates clinical expertise in Women's Health Clinical Specialty.
Demonstrates leadership ability.
Preferred
3-5 years Women's Health Clinical Specialty experience preferred
Advanced education in the diagnosis and management of patients with diseases where Women's Health Clinical Specialty is implicated
