Position Summary
The College of Liberal Arts & Education (CLAE) at the University of Detroit Mercy (UDM) invites applications for Assistant Dean for Student Academic Affairs, a full-time staff position focused on advancing student academic success. We seek candidates committed to partnering with faculty and staff to curate a transformational educational experience for our students. The Assistant Dean will join CLAE at a time of exciting change as we embrace our new name, vision, mission, and strategic plan. The Assistant Dean for Student Academic Affairs will join a community committed to a student-centered experience that extends from the classroom to academic advising and mentoring. The Assistant Dean will report directly to the Dean, joining an energetic team that includes the Associate Dean for Undergraduate Education and Associate Dean for Graduate Education who collaboratively oversee college-wide administration. The Assistant Dean will be a student-centered, collegial individual who values strong relationships, exhibits clear verbal and written communication skills, and demonstrates an ability to solve problems through collaborative processes.
