General Job Summary

The Insurance Specialist is responsible for issuing payments for all insurance premiums, reconciling payments to invoices, mail checks, processing cancellations/reinstatements with corresponding customer notifications, processing Bill and Non-Bill documents reported through EasyTrack, processing Open Items for pending insurance renewals, log department faxes, order and cancel force-placed policies, mail department letters, and process miscellaneous insurance maintenance

Summary of Essential Job Functions

• Process payments on all insurance invoices (issue checks, reconcile bulk payments, and mail checks)
• Process cancellations and reinstatements (issue corresponding customer notifications)
• Process Bill and Non-Bill documents reported through EasyTrack
• Process Open Items for pending insurance renewals
• Log department faxes into MSP
• Process requests to order or cancel force-placed insurance
• Process and mail department end-day letters
• Process miscellaneous insurance maintenance
• Condo master policies
• Review pending notices
• Update MSP as applicable

Other Job Functions

• Assist with special projects & department mailings as needed
• All other duties as assigned by management

Requirements

Education, Training and Work Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Previous mortgage banking experience desired
• Previous mortgage insurance and/or escrow experience desired

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Maintain & foster positive relationships with customers and business partners
• Complete all assigned training in a timely manner
• Provide professional communication in both oral & written expression
• Excellent attention to detail
• Able to work diligently and independently
• Excellent organizational, time management & analytical skills
• Able to effectively problem solve

Working Environment

Primary working environment is within an indoor climate-controlled office space. Employee may be subject to florescent lighting, dust, and other normal indoor-allergens. Employee will work in close proximity of coworkers and occasionally independently in quiet environments.

Physical Requirements

• Able to lift up to 20 pounds
• Extended periods of sitting (at computer desk)
• Complete repetitive tasks (including operation of computer mouse/keyboard)
