University Academy Charter High School is Hiring a High School English Teacher (24-25 SY) Near Jersey, NJ

Anticipated opening for 24-25 school year. Position begins September 2024.

Design and implement engaging, differentiated, interactive instruction that supports all students in developing their reading, writing, language, speaking and listening, and critical thinking skills and prepares them not only for college and careers but also for becoming active, informed members of their community. Create positive, student-centered learning environment that facilitates the completion of goals and objectives of the New Jersey Student Learning Standards. NJ Drama certification IN ADDITION to Teacher of English certification preferred.

Must have valid NJ Teacher of English CE or Standard certification, additional NJ Teacher of Drama certification preferred. Please submit resume, cover letter, and copy of all relevant NJ certifications.

Candidates with OUT-OF-STATE licenses: You MUST have ALREADY applied to the NJDOE for reciprocity and be able to submit a screenshot of your application status to be considered for this position. Candidates must live in New Jersey or be planning to relocate to NJ.

Prospective candidates who have not yet applied for NJ certification can do so here: https://www.nj.gov/education/certification/. The NJDOE has waived application fees until June 30. Please do not apply until your application is fully submitted and under review by the NJDOE.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $52,000.00 - $87,000.00 per year
