Universal Technical Institute is Hiring a Remote Manager Digital Content Marketing

Overview

The Manager, Content Marketing manages the day-to-day content marketing program for UTI, including, but not limited to, the development, and publication of content across all digital channels, managing social engagement across UTI’s brands and managing the creation & publication of digital content. In this role, the Manager, Content Marketing will ensure that content is sourced, written, and published according to strategies that align with UTI’s brand and vision. This position requires the use of marketing research, data analytics, and search engine optimization (SEO) to establish the strategy along with writing, project management and creative direction to execute.

Responsibilities

  • Proposes and executes content marketing strategies that improve the user experience on digital channels to increase traffic to the uti.edu website, then analyzes the results of those strategies.
  • Leverages analytics, as well as knowledge and research associated with industry trends to ensure that content remains on strategy.
  • Creates an analytics-driven content strategy that drives awareness, engagement, education and targeted website traffic.
  • Creates editorial plans and content calendars (to outline content publication schedules) utilizing tools like Google Analytics and SEMrush
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of UTI’s content marketing strategy, content development and distribution efforts, search engine optimization (SEO), and analytics
  • Leads the development of paid social content (Facebook, Instagram, and SnapChat) for brand consistency and relevancy ensuring that organic and paid content is integrated and working together to achieve objectives and improve performance
  • Manages the strategy and implementation of all online video for UTI’s owned channels, with a focus on YouTube, in order to drive video views and referral traffic to uti.edu
  • Acts as the point of contact and daily interface with external content agency resources to improve social media marketing results from digital media channels
  • Continually reviews KPIs and results to optimize content marketing strategy and improve results
  • Manages the Social Media Specialist, who is responsible for reputation management and community management of all UTI social media properties.
  • Establish/maintain a high performance team of professional, motivated and engaged staff utilizing effective training, performance management and career-development activities while leading them to achieve established business results and performance metrics. 
  • Recognizes and rewards employee contributions and achievements.
  • Evaluates emerging technologies and provides thought leadership/perspective on adoption, where appropriate; stays up to date with digital marketing best practices and brings innovation to our digital strategy
  • Attends events for purposes of creating and publishing social media content
  • Identify and execute opportunities within paid media channels to expand and optimize volume of traffic and/or inquiries. Project management and oversight of campaigns
  • Interacts with field experts, subject matter experts, and customers to understand industry needs
  • Ensures that all communications are compliant
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education / Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
  • Minimum of five to seven years of experience in customer facing digital marketing roles required
  • Digital Channel platform experience – Meta, TikTok, YouTube, Streaming, Snapchat, LinkedIn, SEO, CRO, and others required

Skills

  • Knowledge and understanding of editorial principles, SEO/CRO best practices, content distribution
  • Knowledge of content management, editorial publishing, social media and digital media are preferred
  • Experience using Search Engine Optimization tools to perform ongoing keyword research including discovery and expansion of keyword opportunities
  • Results-oriented and data-driven with ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
  • Experience using Google Analytics to analyze channel performance
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to clearly and concisely articulate the rationale behind the methodology that goes into performance media strategy
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, strategically-minded, flexible and driven by goals
  • Ability to build strong, positive relationships with a diverse group of employees and departments
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Effective teamwork skills, and use of sound judgment

  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Abilities

  • Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 5 pounds 5% or less of the workday
  • Must be able stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl 5% or less of the workday
  • Must be able to talk, see, hear, concentrate, think, learn and reason for all of the workday
  • Must be able to sit and walk or otherwise move around for prolonged periods of time throughout the workday.
  • Must be able to use a keyboard and do manual tasks for prolonged periods of time throughout the workday.

Work Environment

  • Remote and Corporate office environment if local to Arizona.
  • Regular business hours, including overtime.
  • Normal physical activity including movement, hearing, seeing and communication.
  • General technology as it relates to office administration.
  • May require some travel.
