Job Summary
The Women's Health NP/PA is responsible for providing medical care to women relating to pregnancy or childbirth; responsible for treating, testing, diagnosing and monitoring diseases and provide general care to women.
Responsibilities
  • Provide compassionate, appropriate and effective clinical care for patients of all ages
  • 100% outpatient care
  • Maintain good quality medical records
  • Work within a team collaborative model at a Patient Centered Medical Home
  • Advocate for quality care on behalf of patients and the organization
  • Provide care and treatment to women during prenatal, natal, and postnatal periods.
  • Diagnose, treat, and monitor diseases, disorders, and conditions.
  • Prescribe appropriate medications to treat patients in accordance with standardized procedures and company policy.
  • Perform pap smears, pelvic and breast exams.
  • Conduct mood and emotional well-being assessments during post-partum appointment.
  • Collaborate and consult with other medical and non-medical personnel.
  • Effectively monitor patients progress throughout treatment plan and care and provide continuous improvement on patient outcomes.
  • Educate patients on importance of treatment plans and communicate side effects and risk of medications prescribed.
  • Educate patients on disease prevention and reproductive health.
  • Demonstrate effective and detailed written documentation skills.
  • Conduct routine check-up appointments and maintain follow up throughout
  • Demonstrate excellent customer service and communication with patients.
  • Able to multitask and manage assigned projects and tasks as directed.
  • All other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Education, Training, and Experience Required
  • Master's Degree
  • Women's Health training
  • Licensed in the state of New York and/or Pennsylvania or willingness to obtain licensure
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible
  • DEA Certification required.
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent independent judgment, problem-solving, analytical and collaborative skills in order to organize and prioritize multiple tasks, providing patient centered leadership and direction.
  • Must have the emotional intelligence that may include, but not limited to, patience, sensitivity and the compassion to work with patients that may be stressed, anxious, and difficult.
  • Ability to work as a team.
  • Must have strong computer skills.
  • Must demonstrate detailed, effective writing/documentation and verbal skills.
