The Shift Manager Supervisor is responsible for the coordination of services and resources during the evening, night and weekend shifts to include staffing, unusual situations, disaster scenarios, and supervision and directions on all clinical and administrative issues that must be resolved or initiated during the shift. Maintains structures and processes that ensure patient centered care and supports the development of staff through mentoring and stewardship. Ability to integrate nursing theory into practice using nursing process. Excellent communication skills with all customers (patients, families, hospital staff and physicians. Demonstrated sound decision making in daily situations. Effective leadership skills and the ability to motivate others. Ability to manage multiple priorities. Knowledge of medical/ethical/legal concepts and their application to healthcare. Demonstrates Service Excellence at all times. Other duties as assigned.
