Our team of professionals includes board-certified child/adolescent and adult psychiatrists, licensed clinical therapists, nurses and mental health associates who are here to help people reconnect with their families, friends and employers so that they may lead productive lives. The Outpatient Therapist PRN provides outpatient therapy and related clinical services to adult clients through our partial hospitalization and intensive hospitalization programs. As a member of the multi-disciplinary treatment team, the Therapist provides direct patient care including: completion of social assessments, formulation of treatment plans, provision of special focus group therapy, and completion of discharge and continuing care plans. The Therapist interfaces with referral sources, community service agencies, businesses, employers, and healthcare facilities; the Therapist ensures compliance for quality patient care and compliance with the Joint Commission standards, State Health Department requirements, and all other regulatory standards.

Qualifications

Licenses or Certifications:

  • Current Arkansas licensure in specialty.
  • Employee must be in good standing with licensing board and must maintain license as a condition of employment.
  • Employee should have current CPR and CPI certifications, or must obtain within 2-weeks of hire (offered onsite).
  • Employee must maintain certification with CPR and CPI as a condition of employment.

Total education, vocational training and experience :

  • Minimum of a Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling.
  • Must have documented experience working in the field.

Skills and Abilities:

  1. Must have effective verbal and written communication skills to communicate in a clear, concise manner with patients, families, physicians, referral sources, hospital staff, and the public, as well as provide accurate and timely documentation and record-keeping.
  2. Knowledge of the physical, emotional, and cultural characteristics of patients who have psychiatric, and chemical dependency, and behavioral problems.
  3. Ability to continually identify and assess the emotional needs of the patient, and to measure the patient's progress.
  4. Knowledge of community resources.
  5. Must be able to interact with patients, physicians, and hospital personnel in a professional manner.
  6. Good organizational and time management skills are required to cope in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions, complex schedules, and fluctuations in census.
  7. Physical demands include daily sitting, standing, walking, and movement, as well as meeting patients and families.
