License Practical Nurse (LPN)- PRN

Natchez Trace Youth Academy, a Universal Health Services, Inc. company has a long history in providing comprehensive behavioral health care services to at-risk youth struggling with extensive mental health issues. Our facility is accredited by the (CARF) Healthcare, which recognizes a commitment to measuring quality and standards of care. Natchez Trace Youth Academy is a highly-structured 115-bed cognitive behavioral program serving adolescent males ages 10-17 years old. Our interdisciplinary staff helps residents refocus their thinking patterns in order to improve their actions/behavior. Our diverse team works together to facilitate the changes that become an investment in the future of each young man's life and his family's life. We are located in the beautiful hills of Tennessee between two magnificent rivers, just 15 miles south of Waverly, Tennessee. Our spacious grounds occupy over 120 acres and include athletic fields, and alpine tower.

Natchez Trace Youth Academy is seeking an LPN on a PRN basis to join our team of compassionate, dedicated professionals. Under the direction of the Director of Nursing, the LPN renders nursing care to students within the facility by practicing ongoing student assessment; evaluation and update of student care through observation of physical and behavioral symptoms; communicates pertinent data to other service areas as needed; administers medications appropriately and documents all data accurately according to facility policy. This is a non-benefits eligible position.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • At least two years experiences in the nursing field preferred
  • Experiences in a residential program preferred
  • Tennessee LPN license
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Current CPR and BLS certification
