This Medical Staff Director is full time at 40 hours per week, offers full benefits and a convenient Monday thru Friday schedule. This dynamic individual will be responsible for directing, planning, organizing, controlling and coordinating all administrative, financial, educational and managerial activities of the medical staff department and the Medical Staff Foundation for Education.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

• Establish, implement and ensures Medical Staff Services are in compliance with TJC, Federal, State, and other regulatory agencies.

• Directs, coordinates and provides administrative support and resources needed by the medical staff to enable them fulfill their duties and responsibilities as defined by the federal regulatory agencies, hospital operations, bylaws and rules and regulations

• Prepares for accreditation reviews and on-going compliance with regulatory standards related to Medical Staff
• Educates and assist Medical Staff Officers, Department Chairmen and other health care professionals in the development of mechanisms to assess physician performance, identify potential risks and take decisive action when appropriate

• Bachelor's degree in related field preferred or eqivalent combination of educatiion and experience
• Two to three years experience in leadership/management position in Medical Staff and/or Performance Improvement
• Certification as propriate for the position (ex. Certification by healthcare or certification board or National Associationof Medical Staff Services or equivalent certification). Professional in medical staff services and/or quality management preferred
