Provides classroom leadership and planning as well as childcare services which meets the development needs of each child. Consistently communicates with each child’s parents to ensure that quality care is being given and the child/family needs are being met. Works effectively with other team members. The lead teacher follows hospital, department, and Department of Human Services policies and procedures. Successful performance contributes to a positive work environment for UnityPoint Health employees.

Education: | High School diploma or equivalent | CDA or two-year degree in child development or early childhood or related field preferred. |
Experience: | Prefer supervisory experience (experience in lead teacher role). Minimum two years experience in licensed child care facility. | |
License(s)/Certification(s): | Valid driver’s license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons. Must be willing to complete all DHS required trainings within 90 days. | Prefer to have CDA. |
