Shifts: Days; Part and Full Time
Nights; Full and Part Time
Weekend Package Days and Nights
Each shift requires every 3rd weekend and holiday rotation

Full Time Sign-On Bonus: $3,000 paid over 1 year
3 East is a 27-bed Medical Surgical unit that provides an enriching learning experience. We care for patients with a variety of diagnoses including respiratory, gastroenterology, endocrinology, infectious disease, and stroke. 3 East utilizes innovative care delivery to help provide holistic care to our patients by utilizing advancements in technology partnered with fundamental nursing care. 3 East offers opportunities to advance critical thinking skills and nursing autonomy within our multidisciplinary team. We utilize evidence-based practice to make a difference in our patient care.

ResponsibilitiesMinimum Requirements Identify items that are minimally required to perform the essential functions of this position. | Preferred or Specialized Not required to perform the essential functions of the position. | |
Education: | *Enrolled in a formal BSN or ADN nursing program to include completion of introductory clinical nursing course with clinical component. *Team members within UPH-DM may remain in Student Nurse tech role for up to 6-months after passing the board and achieving RN license. | |
Experience: | *Completion of 1 RN clinical rotation | *Six months of nursing assistant experience |
License(s)/Certification(s): | *Valid driver's license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons. Must possess and maintain current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification or obtain certification within three months from date of hire. | |
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: | *Ability to identify patients' needs and implement nursing care for a group of patients under the supervision of a RN/Clinical Instructor. *Writes, reads, comprehends, and speaks fluent English. *Multicultural sensitivity. *Microsoft Office - basic computer skills. *Customer/patient focused. *Critical thinking skills using independent judgment in making decisions. *Ability to use discretion and courtesy when working with patients, visitors, and staff. *Ability to prioritize simultaneous situations. | |
