Responsibilities- PCT performs patient care and treatments under supervision of a RN. Provides and documents care including, but not limited to, activities of daily living, mobility, specimen collection and respiratory support activities as directed by the RN.
- Possess the ability to lift, move, position and transport patients.
- Demonstrates the ability to meet the department work schedule.
- Demonstrates initiative to improve quality of care, patient and employee safety, and customer service.
Minimum Requirements Identify items that are minimally required to perform the essential functions of this position. | Preferred or Specialized Not required to perform the essential functions of the position. |
Education: | 75 Hour CNA Course Or EMT-B certification. |
Experience: | Previous emergency department experience preferred. |
License(s)/Certification(s): | Valid driver’s license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons. Must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or obtain certification within three (3) months from date of hire. |
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: | Writes, reads, comprehends and speaks fluent English. Multicultural sensitivity. Microsoft Office – basic computer skills. Customer/patient focused. |
Other: | Use of usual and customary equipment used to perform essential functions of the position. |
