AbbeHealth Services - is a regional nonprofit organization dedicated to providing mental health and aging services that help individuals achieve their optimum levels of independence and success.
Responsible for completing psychosocial assessments, leading one on one and group therapy within a behavioral health space in accordance with evidence-based practices. Assesses patient needs based upon a face-to-face clinical interview, case history review and information obtained from collateral sources such as family members, the referent or other parties. Recognizes signs/symptoms associated with risk of harm to self and/or others and implements appropriate interventions as necessary. Develops and implements an appropriate treatment plan of care for the patient based upon relevant clinical information and diagnosis. Consults with family members or professionals from other agencies/organizations as necessary in developing optimal treatment services.

Evaluations, diagnosis, and treatment · Perform psychosocial and diagnostic assessments · Diagnose patients in accordance with the current DSM · Involve collateral sources in patient’s treatment as clinically indicated (e.g., family, friends, etc.) · Develop individual treatment plans to help patients achieve their goals · Provide individual, couples, family and group psychotherapy services as indicated by the treatment plan · Provide crisis psychotherapy · Refer patients to other services as clinically indicated · Willingness to work with all patients seen at one’s site of care as indicated by the site. (i.e., ages, diagnostic presentations, comorbidities, etc. in accordance with one’s scope of licensure and abilities · May perform Employee Assistance Programing as indicted by the site of care · Utilize evidenced based practices in treatment · Follow all ethical and regulatory guidelines · Provides culturally and linguistically appropriate services · May complete court commitment reports | 70% |

Education: | Master of Science Degree in Social Work, Professional Counseling or Marriage and Family Therapy with a clinical/mental health concentration from an accredited school | |
Experience: | 2 years post graduate degree | 1 year of experience working with a site’s clientele is preferred. (For example, if this job is a pediatric site of care experience with pediatrics is preferred.) |
License(s)/Certification(s): | Iowa: LISW, LMFT, LMHC Illinois: LCPC, LISW, LCSW, LMFT Wisconsin: LCSW, LMFT, LPC May be required to obtain BLS within six months of hire for certain sites. | |
