• Coordinating communication between nursing staff, physicians, other departments, professional staff, patients, and families relating to patient care.
• Facilitating unit operations through knowing and communicating information, managing the desk area, facilitating the use of technology, monitoring and communicating bed status, and coordinating downtime procedures.
• Utilizing MeriterCare (Epic) to facilitate patient care orders and serves as a MeriterCare (Epic) resource to physicians and the nursing staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma
• Keyboarding skills; effective communication skills; knowledge of data entry systems; the ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment; effective organizational skills

Preferred

• Previous EPIC software experience
• Microsoft Excel experience
