Coordinating communication between nursing staff, physicians, other departments, professional staff, patients, and families relating to patient care.
Facilitating unit operations through knowing and communicating information, managing the desk area, facilitating the use of technology, monitoring and communicating bed status, and coordinating downtime procedures.
Utilizing MeriterCare (Epic) to facilitate patient care orders and serves as a MeriterCare (Epic) resource to physicians and the nursing staff.
Qualifications
High school diploma
Keyboarding skills; effective communication skills; knowledge of data entry systems; the ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment; effective organizational skills
