We are seeking a dedicated and experienced General Surgery/Gastrointestinal (GI) Nurse or Medical Assistant to join our surgical services team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in perioperative nursing, with specialized knowledge in general surgery and gastrointestinal procedures. You will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care throughout the surgical process.

At Gastro & Gen Surg at Pierce Street, you’ll provide team-based care to patients directed by the physician, with clinical best practices, results in high quality, improved outcomes and exceptional patient experience.

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid license, State of Iowa, OR Medical Assistant, current certification is required.
• BLS/Mandatory Reporter.
• Specialty experience / med-surg experience is desirable.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinic environment.
