$5,000 Sign on Bonus for Qualified Full Time Positions

The Audiologist is responsible for providing diagnostic and rehabilitative audiology services to both inpatients and outpatients including assessment, treatment planning and implementation with related documentation. They are a resource to the interdisciplinary team, applying skills of the profession to improve outcomes of persons served. Actions are team oriented to successfully provide quality care and a high level of satisfaction for persons served through evidence-based practice. Patients of all ages from newborn to geriatric are part of the practice.

Receives referrals, screens and/or evaluates to determine the need for patient intervention.

Interprets evaluation findings and develops an appropriate treatment plan, including goal setting.

Carries out treatment plan and coordinates with patient, family, significant others and care team. Monitors patients response and modifies treatment to achieve goals.

Provides input to improve patient or employee safety. Follows all policies, procedures and regulatory guidelines related to safety.

Develops appropriate home or community programming to maintain and enhance the performance of the patients in their own environment.

Documents the results of patients assessment, treatment, follow-up and termination of services.

Oversees Audiology students as assigned. According to licensure laws, is professionally accountable for overseeing delegated clinical skills of the Communication Assistants.

Reviews and analyzes quality appropriateness of the Audiology services delivered. Reports associated problems to supervisor as indicated.

Understands and complies with billing and reimbursement procedures according to governmental and third-party requirements. Follows through with accurate and ethical billing practices.

Reports any questions or concerns regarding compliance immediately to the attention of department or organization/hospital administrative staff.
