Unity Health and Rehabilitation, a Skilled Nursing facility, is seeking an experienced and motivated Full Time Licensed Occupational Therapist.

Accurately assess the needs of all individuals prescriptively referred for evaluations and/or treatment. Plan and carry out an individual progressive treatment program intended to maintain or improve each person’s physical and/or psychosocial well-being or to prevent disability within the dictates of the prescription, therapy goals and policies of the facility.

• Must have a Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy. Must hold and maintain current licensed to practice in the appropriate State.
• Must be registered by the American Occupational Therapy Association, Inc., as designated by the initials O.T.R.
• One full year of experience in a skilled nursing facility is desired.
• Must be familiar with NetHealth (documentation system)
• Must have the ability to read, write and follow oral and written directions at a level necessary to accomplish this job.
• Must meet all local health regulations, and pass post-employment physical exam if required. This requirement also includes drug screening, criminal background investigation, and reference inquiry.
• Must have the ability to relate and motivate patients for productivity.
• Must be able to cooperate with patients, families, peers, healthcare professionals, administrative personnel, students, and other staff.
• Must be observant and accurate in recognizing and documenting patient change.
• Be creative in the development of Occupational Therapy treatment programs, used of media and application of adaptive devices.
• Must maintain regular attendance on the job.
• Be flexible in adaptation to patient or environmental change.
• Be able to teach patients with varied ability to learn.
