UNITY HEALTH REHABILITATION CENTER is Hiring an Occupational Therapist Assistant Near Miami, FL
Unity Health and Rehabilitation, a Skilled Nursing facility, is seeking an experienced and motivated Full Time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team. This is full time position - Monday-Friday.
The COTA Carries out treatments under the specific care plan outlined by the evaluating therapist. Is alert to detect signs and symptoms of favorable and unfavorable reactions, typically addressing goals related to activities of daily living (hygiene, dressing, bathing, toileting, feeding, etc) and reports these reactions immediately to the 0ccupational Therapist.
Qualifications:
- Must have an Associate degree in Occupational Therapy. Completion of an Occupational Therapist Assistant course approved by the American Occupational Therapy Association.
- Must be familiar with NetHealth (documentation system)
- Nursing Home experience preferred
- Bilingual (preferred)
Responsibilities and Duties
- Being a professional and ethical team player
- Being CPR certified
- Possessing basic knowledge in all the modalities
- Understanding how a goniometer and dynamometer operate
- Ability to assist in the lifting, pulling and/or pushing or patients
- You must also be compassionate, caring and truly want to help your patients achieve their maximum physical potential
NOTE: All Applicants must speak and be able to write in English
