Unity Bank is Hiring a Deposit Operations Senior Associate Near Clinton, NJ

Position Summary
Responsible for oversight of the deposits systems and other available modules. This includes working closely with Fiserv on updates and releases, upcoming enhancements, and recommendations for future opportunities. In addition, the incumbent will be responsible for communicating system changes and assisting staff in the core system and other systems used in servicing.
Essential Functions
  • Primary subject matter expert of Deposit Services' systems and institution core processing platforms.
  • Liaison between Fiserv Premier, Retail Administration, Information Technology and Deposit Services.
  • Provide administrative support to core system projects for all departments.
  • Trains and becomes well versed in the various modules and capabilities Fiserv Premier offers.
  • Interacts with Fiserv in discussions on system capabilities.
  • Communicates changes, enhancements or upgrades with the team and others that may be impacted by the changes.
  • Testing of system enhancements or changes for quality control and successful implementation.
  • Determine when there is a need to update procedures to support efficacy in Deposit Services, Cash Management, Customer Service Center and Retail offices.
  • Create, update and/or enhance current processes that effect banking systems pertaining to Core output/export as necessary .
  • Report and research consistent and/or ongoing system errors regarding platforms used by Deposit Services, Cash Management., Customer Service and Retail Offices.
  • Document system processes current and new.
  • Assist with new products system and service capabilities and work with business partners in implementing any system changes to accommodate the new product.
  • Maintain technical and professional knowledge by attending educational workshops and training, obtaining relevant professional certifications, reviewing professional publications and books, establishing personal networks, participating in professional associations, and staying informed of any legal, policy and procedural changes relating to deposit products and operations.
  • Leads system projects by providing timeline and updates on implementation.
  • Provides backup to management as needed.
  • Assist management with providing internal and external auditors, with gathering files and additional documentation as requested.
  • Provides backup to Deposit Services as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Additional Functions
Education and Experience
  • 4-year college degree in Business Related Major
  • 2-5 years of experience in retail and deposit operational banking
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Experience with core processer specifications and setup.
  • Ability to lead projects and meetings.
  • Ability to analyze a process and identify gaps.
  • Innovative in looking for opportunities to improve efficiencies and reduce expense.
  • Knowledge of banking principles and practices, specifically to systems impacting customers/users.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent time management.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Ability to work independently in a structured environment as well as in a team environment.
  • Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows suite or programs.
  • Dependable and willing to work extra hours as needed.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit for long periods of time up to 75% of work hours.
  • Ability to use hands to grasp, handle or feel.
  • Ability to use computer keyboard and system to enter data and process information.
  • Ability to talk, listen and see.
  • Ability to use telephone to communicate with customers and employees.
Working Conditions
  • Moderate sound as in business office with office machines, computers, and people traffic.
