As an Actuarial Analyst, you will be empowered, supported and encouraged to use your actuarial expertise as you perform financial analyses and build models that improve health plan competitiveness. Primary Responsibilities* Analyze and interpret quantitative data to create and review monthly, quarterly and ad hoc exhibits based on detailed data sets
* Perform data mining and analysis that impacts foundational pricing and risk assumptions
* Provide accurate premium rate development
* Extract and compile group-specific utilization data to support customer reporting requirements
* Assist in the preparation of annual revenue and claim forecasts to determine group-specific reserves

Required Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, math, finance, data science, economics or other quantitative fields
* 2 years of experience working in a corporate environment, including experience collecting, analyzing and summarizing qualitative/quantitative data
* Actuarial experience, either through exams passed or relevant work experience
* Expertise working with formulas, calculations, charts and graphs in MS Excel
Preferred Qualifications:
* 1 years of experience building quantitative models in SQL (Structured Query Language), SAS (Statistical Analysis System) and/or VBA (Visual Basic for Applications)
* Experience working in finance or the health care industry
* Basic level of proficiency with MS Access
* Solid communication skills, particularly in conveying complex financial and actuarial topics to non-expert audiences
* Critical thinking skills that allow you to push through the data and find effective solutions
