Growing together.The Patient Care Coordinator greets and registers patients in a prompt, pleasant and helpful manner, as well as instructs, directs, and schedules patients and visitors. The receptionist receives cash payments from patients, issues receipts and posts cash payment data.Schedule: Monday through Friday a 40-hour work week, an 8-hour shift between the hours of 7:00 am to 6:00 pm. The schedule will be determined by the supervisor upon hire. May be asked to float to other clinics as needed.Location: 4500 E 9th Ave., Denver, CO 80220Primary Responsibilities:Greets patients as they arrive and manages wait timeComplete check-in and check-out tasks to include insurance verification, complete pre-authorizations and/or precertification of procedures, and copy required documentsCollects co-payments, co-insurance, and deductibles and issues receiptsManages cashier box and daily deposits according to company policiesProcesses walk-in patients and visitorsAnswers phones and schedules appointmentsAnswer telephone calls, re-direct calls as appropriate, assist callers with questions or concerns, and take messages as neededManages medical records (maintains, files/scans, prepares for schedule)Ensures all correspondence is scanned and/or filed, processes requests for medical records release and maintains appropriate logs, etcEstablish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, employees, and the publicPerforms all other related duties as assignedWhat are the reasons to consider working for UnitedHealth Group?
