This position is Part Time. Employees are required to have flexibility to work every Monday; 8:00am – 5:00pm and Tuesday – Friday; 10:00am – 2:00pm. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime. Our office is located at 303 ROMA AVENUE NW 5th floor Albuquerque, NM 87102.

We offer 6 – 12 weeks of on-the-job training. The hours of training will be 8:00am – 5:00pm, Monday – Friday.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Accurately schedules and coordinates patient appointments for assigned clinics.
• The ability to work in a high call volume environment while meeting productivity and quality standards.
• Analyzing provider schedules to ensure maximum capacity is met.
• Obtains eligibility and benefit information in a timely manner: assigning FSC (Financial Class) entering benefits and all other related activities i.e. transfers, demographic data changes in IDX.
• Registers patients in IDX including updating patient demographics, current insurance information, current primary care provider, emergency contacts, and all relevant fields.
• Uses appropriate text templates in the electronic health record, tasks clinic teammates using the electronic health record, and ability to multitask between business office systems and the electronic health record.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma / GED OR equivalent working experience
• 1 year of related customer service experience in the administration, medical, or scheduling field
• 1 years of related healthcare experience to include scheduling experience and in verification of eligibility and benefits
• Knowledge of Medical Terminology, and proficiency with computer systems, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
• Must be 18 years of age OR older
• Ability to work Part Time every Monday; 8:00am – 5:00pm and Tuesday – Friday; 10:00am – 2:00pm.

Telecommuting Requirements:

• Reside within a commutable distance to Albuquerque, NM
• Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
• Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy.
• Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service.

Soft Skills:

• Able to problem solve, excellent writing and verbal skills.
