This position is part-time. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our Two 10-hour days between Monday-Friday. The shifts begin at 5:45am or 7:00am. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime. Our office is located at 72Nd Ave W Edmonds, WA.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage administrative intake of members
  • Work with hospitals, clinics, facilities and the clinical team to manage requests for services from members and/or providers
  • Process incoming and outgoing referrals, and prior authorizations, including intake, notification and census roles
  • Assist the clinical staff with setting up documents/triage cases for Clinical Coverage Review
  • Handle resolution/inquiries from members and/or providers

This is high volume, customer service environment. You'll need to be efficient, productive and thorough dealing with our members over the phone. You also must be able to work a flexible schedule that includes evening hours.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma / GED
  • Must be 18 years of age or older 
  • 2 years of customer service experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Ability to work onsite at 21401 72nd Ave W, Edmonds, WA
  • Ability to work a 20 hour per week position. Two 10-hour days between Mon-Fri. The shifts begin at 5:45am or 7:00am.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1 years experience working within the health care Industry 
  • 1 years experience clerical or administrative support background
  • Medical terminology 

Washington Residents Only: The hourly range for this is $16.54 - $32.55 per hour. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
