Location: 701 Dellwood St S, Cambridge, MN 55008

The Patient Access Representative Associate is responsible for greeting and welcoming patients in person. Provides a standard registration process by collecting demographic and financial data and enter information into an electronic medical record.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Greets and welcomes patient in person
  • Collects demographic and insurance information
  • Checks in or interviews patient to complete appropriate paperwork
  • Directs patient to their appointment or procedure
  • May assist in scheduling add-on appointments
  • Verifies eligibility and benefits information for payers and interprets results
  • Obtains signatures from patients as needed
  • Collects co-pay or deductibles and respond to questions regarding financial assistance programs available. Refers complex questions as needed
  • Uses resources, tools, and procedures to complete accounts in assigned work queues
  • Assists patient in completion of request for information forms and submits to appropriate department
  • May gather medical record information from all departments for collection

Required Qualifications:

  • 6 months of customer service experience in an office environment
  • Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Office products
  • Intermediate level of proficiency with computers (dual monitors, navigating between multiple programs, etc.)
  • Ability to work 3-4 8-hour night shifts per week, between the hours of 11:00pm – 7:30am
  • Ability to occasionally work other shift times as business requires
  • Must be 18 years or older

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Insurance experience
  • Revenue Cycle Experience
  • General office experience
  • Epic experience 

Soft Skills: 

  • Ability to sit for extended periods
