Positions in this function is under the general guidance of the Clinic Administrator, directs, supervises and coordinates clinic staff performance, activities and functions to provide high quality patient care.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Coordinating and overseeing the daily activities of the nursing staff in the clinic
- Determining the clinic staffing needs, preparing work schedules, and rearranging work schedules of the nursing staff to compensate for work load and personnel shortages
- Assists with personnel hiring, evaluating job performance, terminating, and counseling
- Coordinating and ensuring that the staff receives proper orientation, continuing education classes and any additional appropriate training
- Assists Administrator in monitoring expenses and completing payroll (ADP)
- Appearance of the staff and treatment areas
- Ensures OSHA and Infection Control compliance of all personnel
- Medical supplies including the ordering, coordination with various vendors, establishing, maintaining, and monitoring stock levels of medical supplies
- Maintains and strengthens the relationships with the Administrator, Supervisors, employees, Physicians, and various other WellMed departments
- Serves as the representative/liaison for the clinic in the absence of the Administrator
- Performs other related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:
- 4 years of comparable work experience
- 2 years of clinic operations or healthcare experience
- 1 years of management experience
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel
- Knowledge of organization policies and procedures and ability to apply principles to solve everyday problems in a variety of situations
- Knowledge of fiscal management and human resource management techniques
- Knowledge of office management techniques and practices
- Computer literacy
- Proven skill in gathering, analyzing, and evaluating data
- Proven skill in written and verbal communication
- Demonstrated ability to exercise initiative, problem solving, decision-making
- Demonstrated ability to establish priorities and coordinate work activities
- Proven good communication and customer service skills
- This position requires Tuberculosis screening as well as proof of immunity to Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Tetanus, Diphtheria, and Pertussis through lab confirmation of immunity, documented evidence of vaccination, or a doctor's diagnosis of disease
Preferred Qualifications:
- Current Texas Vocational Nurse License
- 2 years of related experience in a clinic setting
- Bilingual (English/ Spanish)
Physical & Mental Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 100 pounds
- Ability to push or pull heavy objects using up to 300 pounds of force
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to use fine motor skills to operate equipment and/or machinery
- Ability to receive and comprehend instructions verbally and/or in writing
- Ability to use logical reasoning for simple and complex problem solving
- Occasionally requires exposure to communicable diseases or bodily fluids
