Summary
The Compliance Manager will oversee global product and retail compliance for the United Wheels portfolio of brands Ensuring that our products meet all applicable standards and regulations and testing requirements. The Compliance Manager will work across the UW and Covation organizations to communicate requirements and standards. 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Determine standards to be followed for product testing compliance.
  • Communicate to product development teams what is required to meet national, international, legal, customer, and UW Standards.
  • Work cross-functionally to ensure all product carry the proper markings, warnings and regulatory language.
  • Determine test standards for all product, communicate with FX, suppliers and third party test labs
  • Help develop specific test methods and protocols for our products and work with supplier and third party test labs to ensure compliance.
  • Stay current on appropriate product standards and test requirements. Represent UW on ANSI and ASTM committees or working groups.
  • Manage product registration programs (WERCS, Saddle LAW label, Smart Source) for compliance.
  • Manage UW testing program and ensure that documentation is current and properly archived. 
  • Work with customer compliance departments to ensure customer requirements are understood and met.
  • Participate in the early stages of product development in order to evaluate possible hazards and recommend solutions.
  • Keep current on new laws or legislation that may impact our products
  • Be a resource for the legal team on any liability issues.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally to visit suppliers and third party test labs, attend conferences and tradeshows.
