Every day, clients contact 211 to access free and confidential crisis and emergency counseling, disaster assistance, food, health care and insurance assistance, stable housing and utilities payment assistance, employment services, veteran services and childcare and family services. No matter the situation, the specialists at 211 listen, identify underlying problems, and connect people in need with resources and services in their community that improve their lives. In 2022 alone, 211s in the US answered more than 18 million calls, texts, chats and emails, helping millions with life-changing support. There is no other network in the country that has a similar pulse on Americas needs.The Lead Associate, 211 Programs and Network Engagement is a motivated, detail-oriented, dedicated associate tasked with coordinating all project administrative processes and tasks related to 211 programs and network engagement. The individual completes all contracts, agreements, and payments between UWW and local teams and partners related to 211 programs throughout the year. The position supports program inquiries, project communications, building responsive solutions to local team needs, and backstopping all staff supporting 211 programs, such as the Ride United, AARP Caregiver Program, and other programs leveraging 211. The Lead Associate is essential to enabling project implementation and management, network communications, ongoing training, resource creation, and program reporting and analysis. The individual is responsible for managing the requirements of several contracts and grants, supporting the managers and directors in improving and maintaining internal processes related to communications and data, and supporting fundraising efforts to leverage the 211 network (United Way Worldwides 211 Team provides coordination at the national level to a diverse Network of 200 211 teams).KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL DUTIES OF POSITIONAn individual must be able to perform each essential duty listed below at a satisfactory level:Serve as the main administrative coordinator for 211 programs including the Ride United, AARP Caregiver, and other grant and contract funded programs leveraging 211, through the efficient handling of administrative and project tasks to ensure projects stay on track and contract and grant deliverables are met.Support the local United Way and 211 Network participating in 211 programs by managing information and tools, coordinating and planning key meetings, events, and trainings, and managing the collection of data and information from the Network.Manage all internal UWW processes related to contracting and invoicing including the Business Review Process.Develop positive working relationships with internal UWW staff in Finance, General Counsel, and other relevant departments to ensure effective communications and work flow.Support partnership and development efforts to secure grants, contracts, and funding by maintaining project dashboards, answering programmatic questions, supporting donor inquiries, and ensuring timely reporting.Create reports and project summaries for internal and external communications.Provide superior customer service to local United Way and 211 Network representatives inquiring about 211 programs and resources by providing timely and thorough responses and information. Identify opportunities to enhance onboarding and training and identify needed tools through interactions with partners. Support Managers and Directors in developing tools and resources to support team programs and work. Proactively supplement these resources as needed.Track and ensure compliance with all assigned grant and contract requirements managed by the 211 Team.Identify and leverage opportunities to work collaboratively with other UWW Departments including Development, Finance, Office of General Counsel, Impact and other relevant departments.Other duties as assignedJOB REQUIREMENTSMinimum requirements include:High school diploma or commensurate experience.Specific interest and study/work experience in the areas of community development, social service support, and transportation access solutions.Strong communication, research, and project management skills.Experience managing multiple grant deliverables to success.Ability to work both as a member of a team and independently.Strong problem-solving skills with a demonstrated background or interest in creating new, effective solutions and processes.Previous experience with documenting or developing internal processes and protocols for effective implementation.Comfortable working daily with a computer to complete work.Advanced experience using Microsoft Excel required; experience with Smartsheet preferred.This job description describes the general nature and level of work performed by employees assigned to this position.
